Level 30 - A Sprint, then a Stop

Weekly Report 30 4/22/19 - 4/28/19

Through the panic of the week, Thursday finally arrived. There was no shortage of things to do that day, but it was clear that if the day turned out smoothly, the next day would come from it naturally. It was almost unwise to place a dress rehearsal a day before a dress rehearsal, yet after the fact it was as if it was meant to be. In any case, the consistent effort spent over the course of the first half of the week allowed for a relaxed approach going into Thursday afternoon and the subsequent Friday. Breaks do not have to align with weekends to be effective.

Although the Final Product had to be slightly halted to accomodate for the additional workload of Tuesday and Wednesday, I found that the catch-up periods of Thursday and Friday were good times to re-increase the pace. This is a good sign because it indicates the true joy which comes from the work, and although that atmosphere cannot be said about every task in the project, having an overarching mood of purpose coming from the project helps significantly in being confident about it during presentations, which is really what those two days were about.

Approaching the beginning of May, several things will be on the table as final goals. Alongside AP testing and the inevitable swarm of end-of-year projects, the Final Product will be completed, the logistics of the Final Presentation will fall into place, the mentor visits will conclude, and the digital portfolio will reach its final state. All of this means the end of the tunnel is visible but is blocked against heightened mental responsibilities in other core classes. Consistent sprints will be required to maintain the pace, but hopefully with the right amount of stops sprinkled in, there can still be a healthy sanity to the rush.

LEVEL CLEAR.
