Weekly Report 27 4/1/19 - 4/7/19
With the start of alpha, the Final Product officially hit its halfway point. Building levels has felt a lot more rewarding than initially expected, and playing them really helps confirm the funness of the project. Although learning about the complications of the lighting system which I initially desired was a minor setback, it does not stop the progression of the Final Product as a whole. As April begins passing by, work will need to be diligent to continue completing tasks for both the project and the Final Presentation plans simultaneously and smoothly.
Sometimes it is a little bit worrying that perhaps the Final Presentation has not been given an adequate amount of thought in the face of the much larger endeavor of the game project. Some of the tasks that need to be completed can be simply named, but others are not so clear or even forgotten. But this is the same feeling which governed the tasks necessary to complete the game when the project was starting a couple months ago, and now that whole picture is beginning to become much more clear. I anticipate that the Final Presentation, although not necessarily a project in the sense relating directly to game development, will be “developed” in the same way, where tackling tasks one by one will produce a much better picture of what the final night will look like in reality.
It is with this forward drive that the next week’s goals are laid in place and will be completed. The Final Presentation will finally receive more attention, and its mental model will become clearer along with the Final Product.
LEVEL CLEAR.
