Level 23 - Just a Normal Week

Weekly Report 23 2/25/19 - 3/3/19

During the past few mentor visits, an effort has been made to engage in more constructive small talk when given the opportunity. Through this a consistent pattern of “just a normal week” has arisen in conversation. Today, it is my turn to declare that the course of the past seven days has been just a normal week.

Steady progress continued to be made on the Final Product - not any bit faster, not any bit slower. Features have been made one by one, and the weekly mentor visit continued to help with implementation philosophies and other miscellaneous game development knowledge. Everything was relatively ordinary, to an extent - really, since game development is inherently extraordinary with its unique challenges every step of the way, this week can be more accurately considered ordinarily extraordinary. I have no qualms with this atmosphere.

Hitting the beginning of March, the Final Product has seen about thirty hours of logged production time. The pace appears to be just perfect to accomplish everything necessary for the final result. However, that is not to say that I should get too comfortable with the pacing, as the scope has still most likely been understated and will require a bit of a rush near the end of certain cycles. Keeping up the pace will be the best way to mitigate that potential minor crunch.

Since there was not even an assessment due this week, nothing was written in that department, as the upcoming assessment deadline has already been met. While this “procrastination” may be a mistake, assessments are still ahead of schedule regardless of the lack of attention given to them recently. Thus, the week embodies the concept of “usual”, and no event seems to be rallying to change this aspect very soon.

LEVEL CLEAR.
