Level 20 - Lag Pause

Weekly Report 20 2/4/19 - 2/10/19

This weekly report is being written after the deadline has passed. Part of the delay was due to dealing with a bit of sickness over the last few days of the week, but this is not, by itself, a valid excuse for saying it could not have been done. Now, as this is being written, work is being done to catch up on the aspects of the class responsibilities which have been lagging behind recently, including this report, the assessments, and the documentation logs.

The Final Product has seen significant progress across the week, although it slowed to a halt during the weekend. Prototypes were constructed in a timely manner, and keeping up the pace will allow many tasks to be completed when production cycles begin. Because the tasks are still in the context of quick prototyping and because they focus primarily on programming, the tasks have been relatively easy, but this level of rigor should be expected to increase when adding animation, sound, and design into the equation to make a fully scoped game. This will require me to push through even times of light sickness to make everything happen, and so I am thankful to have captured a chance to take some rest now. In any case, the project should continue to be fun, so as long as health is not being compromised, work should continue smoothly.

The Original Work presentation has also been a source of attention. Closer to the weekend, while the Final Product was put on a slight pause, the presentation saw most of its last-minute developments and rehearsals. While the result that will be delivered in the next week might not be glamorous, my goal will be to stay calm and mindful so that the presentation can be an adequate preparation for bigger speeches to come. Now, time is being put aside for the Final Product once again, and this type of lag will be dodged as best as possible.

LEVEL CLEAR.
