Weekly Report 10 9/18/18 - 9/28/18
In general, this week was very hectic, but for ISM, this week was very stagnant. The overall weekly energy was more focused on the computer science club, college applications, and other responsibilities - ISM was put on pause for a moment.
But that break will not last long, as the initiation of some short-term and long-term goals will demand my utmost effort towards the class. This is not to mention the upcoming research presentation and final (hopefully) research assessment of the year, which will also require significant thought and preparation. Part of me is dreading all this work that needs to be done, but another part is excited to dive into the game creation of the original work, dedicating two months to consistently developing prototypes.
Beyond the requirements of the original work, the second big worry that predominates the upcoming month of November are the interviews that will need to be scheduled. Fortunately, there is an interview currently being scheduled, but more cold calls will need to be made to secure three more opportunities before the end of the month, as the SMART goal relating to this endeavor indicates. While the SMART goals seem like a stretch and are unlikely to be fully met, they still feel like they will be sufficiently motivating, allowing me to complete more than would be done without the same level of clear foresight.
The big overarching goal for the following week will be to organize the fruits of my research into a presentable format, and to complete all lingering responsibilities so that the month of November can be fully invested in the original work, rather than having to continuously pause ISM in the way that this week entailed. Now, the game unpauses, and progression towards goal completion begins.
LEVEL CLEAR.
